Anthousa Harris is a Canadian actress who recently moved to Sydney, Australia, and is a member of both the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) and Canadian Actor's Equity Association (CAEA).
Anthousa was born in Toronto, and has had a passion for performing from a young age. She studied Theatre Performance and Music at Concordia University in Montreal, where she graduated with the 'Theatre Prize' for most Outstanding Graduate, and a full year of work lined up with prestigious theatre companies and Montreal's International Jazz Festival. Anthousa has since performed throughout Canada in plays and musicals of varying styles, and was nominated for a MECCA (Critic’s Choice Award) for Best Actress for her performance as Juliet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at Centaur Theatre. Career highlights have included starring on the Canadian television series ‘King! Kaboom!’, and singing with international stars (Elvis Costello, Jim Cuddy, Holly Cole, Sam Roberts, Colin James, and many others) in the Montreal Jazz Festival’s ‘Tribute to Paul Simon' concert for over 100,000 spectators. Noted for her versatile singing and speaking voice, her ease with physically demanding roles, and her ability to sink deeply into a wide range of dynamic characters, Anthousa is thrilled to be living and working in Sydney, expanding her horizons in beautiful Australia!
